Ryan Reynolds Gushes Over Taylor Swift After Eras Tour Date Night With Blake Lively

Ryan Reynolds was beyond bejeweled after Taylor Swift’s latest run of concerts.

So much so, that the Deadpool star penned his own review of the Eras Tour after he and Blake Lively saw her longtime BFF perform in New Orleans.

“When I’m 95 yrs old and my wife and kids wheel me outside and into the sun so I can drink a sandwich, I’ll still be talking about seeing this show in New Orleans,” the 48-year-old wrote on Instagram Oct. 31. “Not just because it’s one of the best things I’ve seen/heard/felt. And not only because you see the staggering and positive economic impact this tour has on small businesses all over NOLA — a town that’s been thru so much for so long.”

He continued, “The main reason I’ll never forget this show is because it brings people together in so many ways. And in 2024, (where that feeling is scarce as hell) it’s a special and incredibly rare thing.”

The Free Guy actor quipped that the Eras Tour was like “Super Bowl or Mardi Gras had a baby with music,” before gushing over Taylor’s talent.

“I don’t understand the unimaginable work, care, talent and discipline @taylorswift generates to create an experience like this because I’m not a scientist,” he wrote. “It’s an athletic event and a collective cultural phenomenon. It’s gigantic but intimate.”

However, Ryan did see just one downside.

“The only bummer is she can’t be in the audience to experience what everyone else sees and feels,” he noted. “To watch herself up there is something I wish she could know. But that isn’t physically possible and even if it were, you can’t just get tickets last minute.”

Alongside the heartfelt praise, he shared a glimpse of his and Blake’s time at the show, including a sweet mirror selfie with his wife of 7 years.

Since Taylor first began her record-breaking tour in early 2023, Ryan and Blake have been along for the ride, attending several shows along the way. And they’ve even gotten their kids involved as their oldest daughter James, 9, joined them at the New Orleans show.

Back in May, James joined her parents and sisters Inez, 8, and Betty, 5, a the “Karma” singer’s Madrid concert. And Taylor—who is godmother to Blake and Ryan’s daughters and 19-month-old son Olin—even gave the trio a shoutout.

"I have to say that on Folklore," she announced at the show, "some of my favorite characters are named James, Inez and Betty."

And that album holds a special place in Ryan’s heart.

"Come on, man," Ryan told BFF Hugh Jackman after admitting that “Folklore” is his favorite of Taylor’s songs during an interview with Variety in July, "I'm in my folklore and evermore era."

Of course, the Reynolds family members aren’t the only stars who’ve been enchanted by Taylor’s shows. Keep reading to see who else has attended the Eras Tour…
