Heidi Klum Unveils Her 2024 Halloween Costume and It's as Spooktacular as You Expected
The Queen of Halloween has returned with another out-of-this-world look.
Heidi Klum unveiled her anticipated Halloween costume at her annual holiday party Oct. 31 and looked ghoulishly good. The America's Got Talent judge and her husband Tom Kaulitz brought to life E.T. in matching costumes, which included the use of professional prosthetics—a classic Heidi choice—that left them unrecognizable.
While Tom channeled classic E.T. in all of his wrinkled glory, Heidi opted to accessorize with a bowl hat and black fuzzy scarf to play dress up, just like the alien does in the 1982 movie E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.
Her face could be seen poking through the folds on the creature's neck, while E.T.'s face portruded from the top of her head.
The 51-year-old had teased her Halloween look earlier this month, sharing photos showing what appeared to be prosthetic molds and herself making a claw shape with her hands. "There’s a clue here but I just can’t put my finger on it…" she wrote in an Oct. 7 Instagram post, tagging Prosthetic Renaissance—the group behind Colin Farrell's transformation in The Penguin.
Of course, it should come as no surprise that the supermodel brought her A-game. After all, for more than two decades, even before she began hosting her own Halloween party in 2011, Heidi has showcased elaborate, custom-made costumes for the holiday.
Indeed, Heidi’s utilized prosthetics in several of her most iconic costumes, such as Jessica Rabbit from Who Framed Roger Rabbit? in 2016, the werewolf from Michael Jackson's "Thriller" music video in 2017 and Fiona from Shrek in 2018.
Her partners have also joined in on the fun.
Before their 2014 divorce, Heidi and ex Seal wore couple's costumes at her Halloween parties. Last year, Heidi dressed up as a peacock, while acrobats acted as part of her feathers and her husband —whom she married in 2019—arrived in a giant egg costume. In 2022, he was a fisherman to Heidi's giant worm.
"There goes a lot into it," she People in September of her costume preparations, "because I wanted to be so spectacular that this is not something I can just throw together overnight."
The Project Runway alum added, "It takes a long time. It takes a lot of planning. And also then when I do the reveal, I want to have a special reveal because I know I have so many fans and those particular Halloween fans are people who love also dressing up and coming up with amazing things."
Other Halloween costumes Heidi has showcased in the past include a crow, a red and purple robot, an elderly version of herself and "clones" of herself.

"And in those days I still did my hair and makeup by myself."
