North West Pays Homage to Tyler the Creator and H.E.R. With Must-See Halloween Costumes
North West made sure to come through for spooky season.
Case in point: The 11-year-old continued to let her love of hit makers shine in her 2024 Halloween looks. In fact, the daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West rocked not one, but two iconic costumes honoring musical greats—Tyler the Creator and H.E.R.
Displaying the styles in a series of TikToks on the joint account North shares with her mom, the pre-teen embodied the “WUSYANAME” rapper’s style from his 2019 “EARFQUAKE” music video.
Copying the 33-year-old’s powder blue suit and platinum blonde bowl-cut wig, North sported a skirt suit version of the ensemble in the Oct. 30 clip, even posing and busting a move in front of a silver streamer backdrop like Tyler does in the music video.
And it’s no surprise North wanted to dress as Tyler after she went with a group of friends to the performer’s Chromakopia tour days before Halloween, praising him in one video, “Yes, Tyler, you ate that up!”
For her next act, North took on musician H.E.R., whose real name is Gabriella Sarmiento Wilson, specifically copying the guitarist’s black and white leather getup from her appearance at the 2024 Super Bowl halftime show alongside Usher.
North jammed out in the identical look, even donning a red electric guitar, shades, and lavalier microphone. In the cute video, she was joined by a friend, who dressed as Usher in an all-white tank top and pants look.
The “Every Kind of Way” singer was impressed by North’s costume, reposting the images on her Instagram Stories on Halloween and writing, “TWIN KILLED IT!!!!!!!!”
This certainly isn’t the first time North has dressed up like a musical legend. In 2022, she and two friends recreated TLC’s “No Scrubs” music video looks as she dressed as Chilli. That same year, she also dressed as the late Aaliyah as a part of a themed family costume including other musical greats. And in 2023, she once again teamed up with pals to dress as Raven-Symone’s character Galleria from the Cheetah Girls.
