Clay Travis Would Put All Of His Money On Trump In A Golf Match Against Biden, And So Would Any Smart Person

There were a lot of takeaways from the first of two presidential debates between current president Joe Biden and former president Donald Trump including the fact that the current president seems completely incapable of stringing together thoughts or sentences, and has one heck of a verbal crutch with the phrase, "The idea that…"

However, the most humanizing moment of the night came when Trump mentioned his golf club championships, which turned into an argument over golf handicaps that sounded like it could've been between two dudes on the 19th hole.

There even seemed to be an open challenge pitting the two commanders-in-chief against each other on the links, something all of America would want to see… also bet on.

OutKick founder Clay Travis said that if Trump and Biden hit the golf course, he wouldn't hesitate to throw some green behind No. 45.

"I will tell you this right now: Trump would destroy Joe Biden on the golf course, Travis said. "If they would like to play a golf match, I would be happy to walk along and interview them on politics, sports, and every other subject while the golf tournament was going on."

Clay went on to say that Biden wouldn't finish the round, which is definitely a safe bet. If Joe finished nine holes down at the pitch and putt, I'd be flabbergasted after what we saw in the debate.

"I have been with Trump while he is playing golf," Clay continued. "He's a really good golfer."

He also mentioned the last time he interviewed Trump it was for an hour after the former president had finished a round of 18 holes and was still wearing his golf spikes and with no aides in the room to help him out.

"So, I would put every dollar I own on Donald Trump beating Joe Biden head-to-head in a match of golf, because I don't think Joe Biden could finish."

The funny thing is that no one who saw the debate last night would ever argue this point. Sure, maybe they're dumb or delusional, but even the most ardent Biden supporters would buckle if they had to throw money behind Biden to beat Trump in a round of golf.

It's a shame we probably won't get a match like this because whatever TV network or streamer could cobble it together would probably see some of the biggest audiences of all time to see one president play 18 holes while the other one tells stories no one understands and freezes while walking up to the first tee box.

I'll let you figure out which is which.
