Ex-UFC Star Wants Mike Tyson-Jake Paul Fight Called Off Following Tyson Health Scare

Mike Tyson suffered a medical emergency during a cross-country flight from Miami to Los Angeles last weekend, and one former UFC fighter believes Tyson's health scare should be reason enough to cancel his upcoming boxing match against Jake Paul.

Though Tyson's mid-flight "ulcer flare-up" wasn't deemed severe, and Tyson himself stated that he's "great," there's been a swell of concern over the boxer's age and rigorous physical preparation for the anticipated boxing match.

During a recent episode from his YouTube show, ex-UFC star Michael Bisping sounded the alarm on the 57-year-old boxing legend's health.

"This is just a great example of why a fight like this should not be going ahead," Bisping commented on the upcoming fight featuring Tyson.

Bisping added, "I think the man is pushing 60, and he's got some medical problems. Maybe he just had a bit of food poisoning or had some food that just didn't agree with him, but what we do know is that he was carted off the plane by a paramedic, and they did ask for medical assistance… That's not a good look."

The ex-heavyweight boxing champ prepares to fight celebrity pugilist Jake Paul in a Netflix live-streamed fight from Arlington's AT&T Stadium on July 20.

Jake Paul took to social media following Tyson's health scare to shut down all speculation that the fight would be called off. And for both parties, a big payday could be in store.

Tyson and Paul's fight is expected to do gangbusters in the TV ratings after Netflix's "Roast of Tom Brady" garnered more than two million viewers.

With celebrity boxing essentially at its peak and Netflix's wide-reaching platform (with more than 250 million subscribers worldwide), people will likely pour in to watch.
