Jerry Jones Ordered To Take Paternity Test As Woman Claims To Be Cowboys Owner's Daughter
Jerry Jones was sued by Alexandra Davis in 2022 and now the Dallas Cowboys' owner has been ordered by a judge to take a paternity test to determine if he is the biological father of the 27-year-old woman.
Judge Sandra Jackson issued the ruling after a hearing on February 19 where attorneys for both Jones and Davis argued if she had a presumed father who was not Jones, according to The Dallas Morning News.
The back-and-forth between Jones and Davis began on March 3, 2022 when Davis alleged in a lawsuit that she was conceived when Jones and her mother had a relationship in the 1990s. Court documents outlined that Jones and Davis' mother reached a settlement in which Jones allegedly agreed to financially support the family as long as they did not identify the Cowboys' owner as Davis' father.
Davis later dropped the lawsuit and instead sought paternity testing to potentially prove Jones was her father. A judge ruled in December 2022 that Jones was subject to genetic testing, but his lawyers immediately appealed.

Davis' attorneys argued in court that in "plain and apparent words" that Davis' mom's now ex-husband was not her father and that since Alexandra had no presumed father, Jones' only two options to move the case forward was to either acknowledge paternity or submit a test.
"Alex is in a position where she really no longer has to hide her truth or live under the thumb of fear and maybe she’s going to finally get some peace and we hope other families will have that same benefit from the judge following the law," Davis' attorney said.
Jones is facing an entirely separate legal battle with Davis in U.S. district court in which she sued him for defamation. That case was partially dismissed in October of last year, but refilled a month later.
