Travis Kelce Reportedly Drops Huge Money On Super Bowl Suite For Billionaire Taylor Swift
Travis Kelce reportedly opened his wallet in a huge way to make sure Taylor Swift is entertained at the Super Bowl.
The 49ers and Chiefs kick later today in Super Bowl LVIII, and fans can't wait to watch all the action on the field unfold. It should be an epic game.
One of the main storylines is Taylor Swift being in attendance to watch her boyfriend play. And it turns out, he spent some big money so she can crash in a suite.
Travis Kelce reportedly buys Super Bowl suite for Taylor Swift.
TMZ reported the Chiefs TE spent $1 million on a suite for members of his family and hers. That's a lot of money, even for a guy like Travis Kelce.
He earned $12.1 million for his services on the field this season. With taxes in America, you can safely estimate he netted about $6 million of his contract money.
That would mean spending $1 million on a Super Bowl suite for T-Swift and members of his family is a staggering 16.7% of his net income from his contract money.
Interesting choice, Travis. Very interesting choice. Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

Taylor Swift is much richer than Travis Kelce.
The choice becomes even more interesting when you remember Taylor Swift is worth *checks notes* more than a billion dollars.
Forbes pegs her net worth at a shocking $1.1 billion. Not bad for someone who is 34-years-old. For comparison, Travis Kelce has earned just under $77 million in contract money. Taxes, as we all know, have eaten up a significant amount of his money from playing in the NFL.
Taylor Swift can probably find his net worth hiding under the couch cushions of one of her many estates. He's rich. She's wealthy. There's a big difference between the two, even if people don't realize it.
Why is Travis Kelce the one dropping $1 million for a Super Bowl suite when that's a legit rounding error for someone of Taylor Swift's net worth?
It must be true love! And to be clear, I'm not knocking any man or woman who wants to spend money on their significant other. I'm not knocking it even a little bit, but was this the best financial decision given what percentage of his net income, $1 million represents? Yes, I know Travis Kelce also has endorsement deals, but those details aren't public.
Maybe Swift and Kelce should have done what Boomer Esiason suggested:
Just get the NFL to pay for it!
If he ends up marrying her, then I suppose it will be worth it. As a wise man (my dad) likes to say, "You can marry into more money in a few seconds than you can earn in a lifetime of work."
Was reportedly dropping $1 million on a suite a good use of Kelce's money? Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
