Will Bobby Lashley make Goldberg tap out at Summerslam? WWE Champion replies

The stage is set for an epic clash at WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view between the WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and Goldberg at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada this Sunday. The legend of Goldberg has survived generations after generations, and in the ring, he has been nothing less than a superhero for all these years.

Since his WCW days, it has not been easy to beat Goldberg in the ring - and to even consider that you can make him tap out in the squared circle is a question no one dares to ask. Unless, of course, you are 'The Almighty' Bobby Lashley.

Since starting 'The Hurt Business' with MVP during the pandemic era last year, Lashley has been on a tear in the WWE, beating opponents like Matt Riddle, Drew McIntyre, Kofi Kingston, Keith Lee, and many others - with his signature submission move - Full Nelson. To this day, no one has been able to break out of the move in WWE.

So, the big question is - can Lashley do the impossible; can he possibly create history by making Goldberg submit in the ring at SummerSlam 2021?

"Oh damn! You know what, I cannot tell you what my focus is for the match and where I want to go. Right now, Goldberg has got to the point where 'dude, you are pissing me off'. For me it's not going to be from the point of breaking some kind of record of making him tap our or something like that," Lashley said in reply to a question posed by The Hindustan Times during a media call organised by the WWE.

"But what I want to do is make a huge statement to Goldberg and let him know what I am all about. Whether it's taping him out, whether it's hurting him, or whether it's putting him away - I am going to make a huge statement on Goldberg at SummerSlam," he added.

"And let him know that you don't just get to come out and challenge The Almighty. You gotta make your mind up, you gotta be prepared, and I don't think he is ready for it," Lashley signed off.
