Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos Look Just Like Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce in Halloween Costumes
Kelly Ripa and her husband Mark Consuelos are ready to serve up an enchanting look.
After all, the Live With Kelly and Mark cohosts were thrilled to channel an iconic love story while dressed as Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce—from their now infamous U.S. Open date night—for their show's annual Halloween special set to air Oct. 31.
"I've known Taylor Swift since she was a young teenager and first appeared on our show many, many, many years ago," Kelly told USA Today in an interview published Oct. 28. "She's been on our show many times, and in every era of her life. She is just as charming and divine and delightful, and all of the things that you think she is for all of these years."
In the pic teasing the upcoming "Only Halloween in the Building"—a nod to Only Murders in the Building—special, Kelly donned a red gingham mini dress with black sunglasses and the "Karma" singer's signature red lip color. For his part, Mark donned white shorts, a white polo, a matching cardigan and a bucket hat, which he completed with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end's mustache.
However, the 54-year-old—who will also show off more costumes during the episode with her husband of 28 years—was nervous about emulating the pop star during the annual talk show episode.
"Nobody gives less Taylor vibes than me," she said. "I can't capture the essence of that in a very brief clip of her dancing at the U.S. Open, but I did my best to at least not embarrass her on behalf of both of us."
But it isn't the first time Kelly and Mark dressed like Taylor and Travis. In fact, they also paid homage to the couple in their gameday outfits for their show last year, Live's Halloween: The Eras Show.
While Kelly has been at the center of the Halloween episodes for over two decades, this year will mark her co-host's second. And her husband of 27 years, who joined as a permanent host last April, is ready for the task once again.
The 54-year-old added, "I think a year and a half in, I finally feel like I kind of have my sea legs."
And for the couple—who share kids Michael Consuelos, 27, Lola Consuelos, 23, and Joaquin Consuelos, 21—leading the morning show together has been a testament to their personal relationship.
"I know how good he is at this job—I've done it with him many, many times over the years," Kelly told Entertainment Weekly in April. "Mark and I are capable of feeding off each other's energy. We don't see eye to eye on a lot, which makes our marriage interesting. We have vastly different opinions about a lot of stuff, and Mark is not afraid to disagree with me or mix it up with me. And I think that's compelling television."
