Alix Earle Shares Update on "Devastated" Braxton Berrios' Recovery After NFL Injury

Alix Earle is Braxton Berrios' biggest cheerleader.

One week after the Miami Dolphins wide receiver tore his ACL on the field, the influencer gave insight into her boyfriend's healing journey.

“He's always just such a positive reinforcement for me so it's been really great to be able to be there for him for something,” Alix told E! News at the 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards red carpet in New York City Oct. 28. “Obviously, he's so devastated and it's really hard. I know how hard he works at everything.”

But the 23-year-old, who confirmed her romance with the athlete last November, is hopeful he'll make a full recovery. She emphasized, "I have no doubt that he will get through this and come out on the other side." (For more with Alix, tune into E! News tonight, Oct. 29 at 11 p.m.)

Braxton, who was injured during the team's game against the Indianapolis Colts, shared the painful news that ended his season early. However, he just sees this obstacle as another challenge to overcome.

"If you're lucky like me, adversity has become a close friend," the 29-year-old wrote on Instagram Oct. 21. "It means you're chasing something not easily attainable and through all the failures and setbacks you've persevered. There's pain along the way, but what's on the other side makes it all worth it."

"Initially, all I want to do is play victim and question everything, but I know God and I know he makes no mistakes," he continued. "After the dust settles the choice each day is going to be pretty straightforward- have this be a part of my story or have it be the end of my story."

Meanwhile, Alix gushed over his strength while showing her support.

"It's crazy how things can change in a matter of seconds ... especially seeing how much hard work you put into the game not only physically but mentally," she wrote on her Instagram Stories. "Day in and day out you inspire me and I have no doubt that you will be back and better in no time. Proud to be by your side and cheer you on. I love you."

She also shared her own point-of-view from the day on TikTok, beginning the video, "Travel with me to New York, except I came right back."

"I turned on the last quarter of the game and this probably one of the scariest things to happen because I just heard that Braxton got hurt," she explained. "I wasn't supposed to go back to Miami for three weeks, but I canceled all my plans and booked a flight tonight. I honestly wasn't doing well at this point."

Alix, who was in New York for a special appearance on Jake Shane's Therapuss Live tour, finished up her time on stage and got ready for her flight back to Miami. While laying in bed with Braxton, she concluded, "I'm just happy and grateful I'm able to be back with him."
