Why Beyoncé's New Business Venture Has Her Fans Buzzing

Prepare to be drunk in love with Beyoncé’s latest project.

One year after the release of her fragrance, Cé Noir, the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer teased the launch of another signature scent on social media.

A photo posted on the Grammy winner’s Instagram page Oct. 24 featured the pop icon’s silhouette cast against a burnt orange backdrop, tied to her new perfume, Cé Lumière. The caption on the post quoted the song “Protector,” from her most recent studio album Cowboy Carter, reading, “Someday you’re gonna shine on your own.”

Amid the excitement for the new venture, members of the BeyHive couldn’t resist the urge to share their first reactions to the product launch in the comment section.

“I just spent all of my birthday money,” one social media user wrote before adding, “I’m still gonna get it though.”

Another user remarked on the singer’s stunning portrait. “Even the silhouette is sickening,” they raved, “like who else is doing this?”

Meanwhile, other fans used the launch to mention their wish to see Queen Bey return to the stage.

“I’m CÉving for the tour,” one commented. “Be blessed Beyoncé.”

Though the “Alien Superstar” singer is adding another product to her impressive business portfolio—which includes her Cécred haircare line and recently-launched whiskey brand, Sir Davis—she makes it a point to prioritize her home life, which includes husband Jay-Z and their children Blue, 12, and twins Rumi and Sir, 7.

“I build my work schedule around my family," she told GQ in September. "I try to only tour when my kids are out of school. I always dreamt of a life where I could see the world with my family and expose them to different languages, architecture, and lifestyles.”

Despite her own superstar status, she insisted her kids have a chance to grow up away from the public lens.

“One thing I’ve worked extremely hard on is making sure my kids can have as much normalcy and privacy as possible," she added, "ensuring my personal life isn’t turned into a brand. It’s very easy for celebrities to turn our lives into performance art.”
