Pregnant Jennifer Lawrence Makes First Red Carpet Appearance Since Confirming Baby No. 2

Jennifer Lawrence has the best red carpet accessory.

The 34-year-old walked her first carpet since confirming that she is expecting her second baby with husband Cooke Maroney.

The Oscar winner attended the premiere of the documentary Zurwaski V Texas at the 2024 AFI Fest in Hollywood, Oct. 23, sporting a classic off-the-shoulder white dress.

The double-breasted number featured two columns of black buttons running on the middle and a sleek black belt nestled above her bump, which she caressed on the carpet. She paired the dress with black heels.

Lawrence kept her look casual with her blonde bangs, naturally tousled hair and minimal jewelry.

The American Hustle star served as an executive producer on the documentary which follows women in Texas who were denied abortions despite life-threatening circumstances joining forces to file a lawsuit against the state.

Though he didn't walk the red carpet with her, Maroney attended the documentary screening, cheering his wife of five years on after she introduced the film.

"They survived something no woman should be forced to endure," Lawrence said of the documentary subjects during her introduction. "Then they shared their stories with the world in the hopes that other women wouldn't have to suffer the way they did. By this definition, they are heroes."

Lawrence and Maroney exchanged a high five and a kiss as Lawrence walked off the stage, an eyewitness tells E! News.

On Oct. 20, Lawrence’s rep confirmed the couple’s happy news to Vogue just hours after they were spotted out to dinner in Los Angeles together with Lawrence wearing a white T-shirt over her baby bump.

The pair, who married in Newport, Rhode Island in October 2019, are parents to a son, Cy, 2. They have opted to keep much of their personal life private with Lawrence making the occasional comment about motherhood.

"Of course, I’ve contemplated having a child that’s being born into a lifestyle that’s different from his friends," she told fellow actress Cameron Diaz in a 2023 Interview magazine chat. "But kids have advantages and disadvantages when they’re born, all of them."

Lawrence continued, "The best thing I can do is just make sure he knows he’s loved, and that he’s our number one priority, and try to be a good example of kindness. I’m sure there will be challenges specifically from my choices and my lifestyle, and we’ll both have to confront that and deal with it when that day comes."

Pregnant Jennifer Lawrence and her husband Cooke Maroney step out in Los Angeles Oct. 19.

The sighting came after Jennifer's rep confirmed that the Oscar winner and Cooke are expecting their second baby together.

During the couple's outing, the wind lifted up Jennifer's unbuttoned blouse to reveal her growing baby bump.

Jennifer and Cooke shared a romantic kiss while waiting at an intersection.

The Joy actress was looking sunny in a yellow top and black pants.

Cooke also kept it casual in a white T-shirt and green trousers.

The pair are already parents to 2-year-old son Cy.

Of how motherhood has affected the types of roles she's interested in, Jennifer told E! News last year, "Only in the sense of when I'm doing something or how much I'm doing has that kind of changed."
