Reese Witherspoon’s Son Deacon Phillippe Is Her Twin in 21st Birthday Photo
Legally twinning!
Reese Witherspoon celebrated her son Deacon Phillippe—who she shares with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe—turning 21 on Oct. 23 and proved that the mother-son duo looks more and more alike with each passing year.
"Can't believe that this amazing young man is turning 21!!" she captioned her Instagram post. "Happy birthday, @deaconphillippe You came into my life to bring me joy, wisdom, and so much love."
Reese—who also shares Ava Phillippe, 25 with Ryan and Tennessee Toth, 12, with ex-husband Jim Toth—continued, "You light up my life with your beautiful spirit! I love you so much."
Along with her sweet words, the Morning Show actress posted a selfie with Deacon—an NYU student pursuing a career as an actor and musical artist—as a little boy in addition to a more recent photo with her son at a candlelit dinner on the water.
Their resemblance in the second photo was uncanny as they both flashed their thousand-watt smiles and commenters couldn't help but point it out.
"You look like siblings," one person remarked, while another called Deacon "as handsome as ever and still looks a lot like his mama."
It's not unusual for Reese to sharing the spotlight with her lookalike kids. The 48-year-old star frequently posts photos with her children on social media and occasionally even brings them with her to star-studded events.
Eight months after Deacon accompanied his mom to the 2024 Golden Globes, the Big Little Lies actress brought her eldest kids with her to the August premiere of pal Zoë Kravitz's directorial debut, Blink Twice.
Through it all, the Oscar winner hasn't been shy about sharing how proud she is of the incredible adults they've grown into.
"I had kids when I was 23," Reese told E! News in early 2023, "so I think I always worried, 'Am I doing this right? Am I messed up? Did I do it right?' But now, I feel more confident—I've been doing it for 23 years—that I probably got some stuff right."
