And Just Like That’s Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis Reveal If Their Kids Will Be in Season 3
Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis’ kids aren’t planning follow in their Manolo Blahnik-adorned footsteps anytime soon.
While the duo and Cynthia Nixon are hard at work filming season three of And Just Like That, they recently clarified whether fans can expect to see their kids one day join them on the beloved Sex and the City sequel series.
“Not mine,” Sarah, 59, told E! News at the Golden Heart Awards Oct. 21 in New York City, with Kristin, 59, adding, “Not mine either. No. We're trying to protect them.”
Indeed, Kristin , who is mom to Gemma, 11, and Wilson, 5, and Sarah largely keep their family out of the spotlight. Although the Girls Just Want to Have Fun alum’s three kids with Matthew Broderick—James Wilkie Broderick, 21, and twins Marion Broderick and Tabitha Broderick, 13—have joined them on a rare red carpet outing.
But as for what fans can expect from season three of the Max series?
“There's a lot of stories with so many great actors and we have such incredible women on the show,” Sarah teased to E! News. “We have wonderful men, many of whom are you know, are familiar—new men, new stories.” (For more from the Golden Heart Awards, tune into E! News tonight, Oct. 10 at 11 p.m.)
The Family Stone actress continued, “Life keeps evolving, and children change, and your relationships change. And it's big. We've been shooting about seven months straight.”
Echoing her longtime friend’s sentiments, Kristin teased, “It's big. That's what I would say, it's big.”
But while their kids won’t be gracing the screen anytime soon, Sarah’s husband of 27 years recently expressed regret that he was never able to join her on Sex and the City—but not without trying.
"Whenever there was a part that I could do," Matthew shared on the Oct. 3 episode of This Life of Mine with James Corden "I couldn't do it, is really all that happened."
However, he admitted there was one role in particular he was happy to pass up. “Sometimes, it was like, 'Do you want to do two days as the premature ejaculator?'” he explained of the season two part that ultimately went to Justin Theroux. “And I'd be, you know, 'Well, I don't know. It's just kind of embarrassing.'"
But as he emphasized, "I love that show and I would have been delighted to be in it, but it just never lined up right."
