Bella Hadid Makes Angelic Return to Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

An angel has returned home.

As supermodel Bella Hadid graced the stage at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Oct. 15, she emphasized her return to the fashion world, a welcomed homecoming that followed her two-year break from the runway.

While Cher sang her hit song "Believe," Bella strutted down the Victoria’s Secret runway sporting a red two-piece underwear set and draped in a large crimson and black cloak with a billowing train. She paired the look with red strappy heels and her signature brunette hair straightened into a sleek bob.

Her return to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show—which itself is making its first appearance since 2018—arrived as she’s eased back into the fashion world. In September, she appeared at the Saint Laurent Womenswear Spring-Summer 2025 show as part of Paris Fashion Week. The outing marked her first official runway appearance since October 2022.

For the show, the 28-year-old sported an oversized black suit, white button-down and tie paired with black-rimmed sunglasses and a sleek bun hairdo.

And while Bella has always put her heart and soul into her runway appearances, she took some much-needed distance from the fashion industry, a world she felt wasn’t returning the favor.

"After 10 years of modeling," Bella told Allure in an interview published April 30, "I realized I was putting so much energy and love and effort into something that, in the long run, wasn't necessarily giving it back to me."

But Bella is no stranger to taking a break from fashion when she feels it’s necessary, notably pausing her relationship with Victoria’s Secret in 2020 following allegations—some of which were made by Bella—of sexual harassment and bullying from Ed Razek, the company's former brand officer.

However, in December 2021 it was announced that Bella had decided to reteam with the fashion brand.

"What magnetized me to coming back was them coming to me and really proving to me that, behind the scenes, Victoria's Secret has changed so drastically," she told Marie Claire the same day as the return announcement. "There was a type of way that, I think, a lot of us women who used to work with Victoria's Secret felt. And now, six of the seven [VS] board members are all female. And there's new photoshoot protocols that we have. So a lot has changed."
