Lenny Kravitz Shares Sweet Insight Into His Role in Zoë Kravitz's Wedding to Channing Tatum

Lenny Kravitz is flying so very high with excitement.

After all, the "Fly Away" singer couldn't help but share heartwarming details about daughter Zoë Kravitz's upcoming wedding to Channing Tatum—which Lenny revealed will be happening next year. And he's already feeling emotional over watching his only child walk down the aisle.

"Happiness knowing that she's confident in her choice and is looking forward to building a life with someone," he told InStyle in an interview published June 5. "They're equally matched and equally yoked. Just happiness."

In fact, the 60-year-old has felt nothing but happiness since becoming a dad to Zoë 35 years ago.

"She has enhanced my life and opened my life and brought me to places I never thought I would be," he said. "The thing that I'm most proud about with Zoë is what an outstanding and beautiful individual she is."

And Lenny knows it "can be difficult growing up when you have parents that are known for something,"—Zoë's mom is actress Lisa Bonet—but he's been so impressed watching "her become this creative force."

"She's so talented and free," he continued. "I couldn't be more proud of the human being she is."

And the "American Woman" singer has been equally as effusive when it comes to his feelings on Channing, 44.

"He's a really great guy," Lenny said on the BBC's Zoe Ball and Friends podcast in May. "He was raised well. So, you know, he's got manners. He's charming. He's a soulful human being."

And he's confident that Channing—who shares 10-year-old daughter Everly with ex-wife Jenna Dewan—and Zoë, who was previously married to Karl Glusman, have found the perfect match in each other.

"It works," he said of the couple on a March episode of Sherri. "Life is about timing and what you've gone through, what you've learned and they're in the right place."

In a June 2021 interview with Deadline, Channing Tatum shared how honored he was that Zoë Kravitz thought to include him in her directorial debut, Pussy Island.

Amid rumblings of a romance, Tatum and Kravitz appeared to confirm their relationship status in Aug. 2021 with a sweet bike ride around New York City. "There's more than a friendship going on with Channing and Zoe," a source told E! News at the time. "They are spending a lot of time together and having fun. They are more than just close friends or co-stars. Their relationship has grown into more."

Though they initially posed separately on the 2021 Met Gala red carpet, the duo was photographed exiting the star-studded event together. Tatum even shared a photo with Kravitz on his Instagram Story from the after-party.

For their first Halloween together, the pair dressed up as Robert De Niro and Jodie Foster's characters from the film Taxi Driver

During a chat with GQ, published in Nov. 2022, Kravitz said of Tatum, "He's just a wonderful human. He makes me laugh and we both really love art and talking about art and the exploration of why we do what we do. We love to watch a film and break it down and talk about it and challenge each other."

After over two years of dating, multiple outlets confirmed that Kravitz and Tatum are engaged to be married.
