Paris Jackson Claps Back After Haters Call Her "Haggard" in Makeup-Free Selfie
Paris Jackson has a message for the beauty critics.
The daughter of the late Michael Jackson recently clapped back at the internet trolls sharing negative comments about her appearance after she posted a makeup-free selfie earlier this month.
"This is no filter, no makeup and regular lighting for the people that wrote really s--tty comments about how old and haggard I look in my last video," Paris captioned her Sept. 28 Instagram, alongside a bare-faced video of herself. "I am literally 25."
She ended her message on a cheeky note, adding, "Just young and haggard thank you very much."
This isn't the first time Paris has called out the online haters. Just last month, she addressed the criticism surrounding how she celebrated her late dad's birthday.
"So today is my dad's birthday and back when he was alive, he used to hate anybody acknowledging his birthday," Paris shared in an Instagram video at the time. "He actually didn't want us to even know when his birthday was because he didn't want us to throw a party or anything like that."
In addition, Paris noted that honoring someone's memory shouldn't have to be shared online.
"Social media is apparently how people express their love and affection these days," she facetiously added, "and if you don't wish someone a happy birthday via social media, it apparently means that you don't love them and you don't care about them."
She continued, "There have been times where I don't post anything for my dad's birthday and people lose their f--king minds."
Paris detailed the harsh comments she's received in the past when she doesn't post about the King of Pop, who would have turned 65 on Aug. 29, saying people "told me to kill myself, and they're basically measuring my love for my own father based off of what I post on Instagram."
And while the 25-year-old reminded people she's allowed to celebrate her father however she sees fit, she revealed that she had actually paid tribute, posting a video of herself reflecting on his birthday during a performance.
"He would have been 65 years old today and he put 50 years of blood, sweat and tears and love and passion into doing what he did," she said at the time, "so I could stand up here on stage, in front of you, and scream into a microphone. I owe everything to him."
